Oh how I love numbers. There are various studies of numbers that you can learn and follow. It's called Numerology. I've been studying numbers for many years now and have found from my own personal experiences that the energy of numbers is real. Some might think its hogwash and that's perfectly fine with me. As with all things, you need to allow yourself to be open-minded to really see how energy works and how it impacts one's life. For me, life has changed dramatically by opening myself up to the unseen things that are present. Just because we can't "see" it doesn't meant it doesn't exist. The truth is, the energy of numbers impact all of us whether or not we believe in it.
The path of self-discovery is much richer when you discover how the energy of numbers can impact you as a whole. Just remember that life is made up of cycles and patterns. When we really pay attention, we can recognize these patterns and cycles and use them as tools to navigate our life. I'm a firm believe that its better to be aware of the energy that is in place so we can better manage our lives. It's much better to be proactive then reactive. Or worse, living life on auto pilot (life leads you, rather then you leading your life).
There are different schools of thought as to which numbers impact us energetically. All you have to do is search numerology on the internet and you'll find the various schools of thought. The areas I prefer to focus on are:
The numbers that I focus on are:
What are Master Numbers?
A master number is 11, 22, or 33. They are considered spiritual numbers. When one has this number in their birthdate, they are here to make a global impact in the world. This means that they wanted more challenges in their lifetime. You do have a choice. You can choose to live under the single digit Life Path or you can choose to embrace the master number. As one matures, the master number may become more prominent in their life choices. Here is an example of a master number: April 25, 1993.
This happens to be one of my daughters birthdate. For her, she will look at the energy of the 33 and the 6 for her Life Path. She is still pretty young, so her 33 may not fully evolve for some time yet. However, she has the innate desire to be of service to the world and she is extremely sensitive to the energies of the world.
When a master number appears in the Universal Year as it does for 2018, it will highlight the energy of that particular number on a global level.
When a master number appears in your Personal Year, you'll have two sets of energies at play to work with.
This is referred to as your Life Path number. The Life Path number is the number you carry with your during your lifetime. I have found this number to be spot on for me. I've used it over the years to gain insight in to my life and the path I've chosen to take. It has been a fantastic confirmation for me. I've known my purpose for some time, but to see it through numbers is liberating. A fabulous book on this topic is Dan Millman's The Life You Were Born to Live.
Let's calculate your Life Path Number by adding up all the digits in your birthdate. For example, my birthdate is July 5, 1967 so I would add it like this:
When you have a double digit like mine, you'll add those digits until you get a single number:
My Life Path number is an 8 - Abundance and Power. This may sound awesome, but it has come with such challenges. I could write books on my experiences around this topic. As I get older and wiser, it becomes easier for me. It seems that I have managed to take the hard path in most cases (lots of awesome lessons and growth) and there has been a ton of stuff I've had to work through in my life to own this Life Path. For example, I've struggled with my corporate career versus my life purpose career. The struggles within this one area have been tough and difficult for me. It has taken so many years of self-discovery to uncover all the layers within to be at peace and excited to have an 8 Life Path.
The Universal Year is the energy that the planet will live under and it applies to everyone. In some fashion, the Universal Year number will impact every single person whether they are aware of it or not.
The Universal Year begins on January 1 and ends on December 31. You may start to feel the effects of the following year's energy about 4 weeks prior to its arrival. The Universal Year also impacts your Personal Year and we'll talk about that next.
You calculate the Universal Number by adding all of the digits together like we did for the Life Path number:
2018 is 2+0+1+8=11 1+1=2
So 2018 is a 2 Universal Year.
Just as the Universal Year changes each year, so does your Personal Year. Again, there are some differences in the schools of thought around when your Personal Year begins. Some say its on January 1 and others say its on the your actual birthdate. I have found that in general, the energy begins on January 1 and picks up momentum around my birthdate and continues until the end of that year.
You calculate your Personal Year similar to your birthday. Instead of using your birth year, you use the current year. For example, my Personal Year for 2018 is calculated like this:
7+5+2+0+1+8= 23 2+3=5
So my Personal Year in 2018 is a 5.
Interpreting Your Numbers
There are a ton of resources to interpret your numbers. There are many books that have been written on the Life Path number and I mentioned one of my favorites earlier. To find free resources on the Universal Year and your Personal Year, you just need to search the internet for them. Each year, numerologists write out the following years Universal Year meaning and the Personal Year meanings. And in additional to understanding these as separate energies, you should be able to find how the Universal Year and the Personal Year energies combined will impact you for the given year. For example, go to Google and type in "universal year 2018" and you'll see the articles that have been written. The same for Personal Years, type in "personal year 8" and you should find tons of articles. I personally have someone that I resonate well with and I pay for a subscription to her service and it includes yearly reports for Universal Years and Personal Years among a ton of other awesome insight. If you are interested in knowing more about Elizabeth and her subscription, you can find it here.
Alrighty! I hope this sheds new light on the power of numbers and the awareness will help you navigate your way in a positive, enlightening way.
